This inmate re-entry program was designed to lower the recidivism rate, and to prevent the children of inmates from making the same mistakes that their parents have made.
Having worked with young men and women as well as adults in character building for twenty years, I welcome this opportunity to meet with you and present several new concepts in the area of inmate growth and development to your office.
While my objective is to get the best out of the inmates and help our young adults to avoid a life of crime, I am also very interested in assisting our nation in lowering the recidivism rate within our prisons and detention centers; ultimately helping to solve the inmate over crowding problems and reducing financial liabilities for the state.
Through a motivational character formation program called “WINGS” (Winning Ideas Nurturing Growth & Success), I am confident that we can help individual families to become more stable, and the children of inmates to secure a much brighter future.
As a previous Director of Pilot Training and Regional Director of Standards in commercial aviation, I have an extensive background in education and professional pilot training / “Human Factors”. As an independent educator since 1993 in character and family education, I’ve presented many of these concepts to high school students and juvenile detention centers. I have also used with this material to motivate men on Death Row at Graterford Prison since August 2001. As the programs have been well received since inception, I welcome the opportunity to make a presentation to your office.
